My solution oriented approach is based on John Whitmore's 'GROW' model, that you might know from the coaching. For the specialized work on projects with my clients I have developed it further.

Every job is oriented along the lines of an exact time schedule and a thorough planning of resources. The state of the project is transparent for all members at all times. The persons involved meet on a regular basis in order to coordinate all developments.
Having closed the project successfully you will be able to act following the strategic line. You will manage to independently make necessary course adjustments and to dynamically introduce processes of change.
